Remember, when unforeseen events force your travel plans either to be cancelled or delayed, the costs of extra travel and medical expenses, if not fully protected as part of a travel purchase, can be substantial. Review your current medical coverage as Medicare insurance does not apply, and some personal health insurance programs may not be accepted, in international destinations.
